02What DownReels Does
DownReels is a free online tool that allows users to download publicly available content from Instagram including Reels, video posts, photos, stories, and audio. We operate by fetching content from public Instagram URLs and delivering it directly to your browser — no storage on our servers occurs after delivery.
- Works only with public Instagram accounts and content
- Does not require your Instagram login or credentials
- Does not store downloaded files after delivery to your device
- Does not log or retain the URLs you submit
- Processes all downloads in real time, directly to your browser
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature or the entire Service at any time without prior notice. We are not liable for any disruption to our Service.
03Fair Use Policy
DownReels is designed strictly for personal, non-commercial use. By using our Service, you agree to handle all downloaded content responsibly and in full compliance with applicable copyright, intellectual property, and privacy laws in your jurisdiction.
✓ Permitted Uses
- Saving your own content that you have published on Instagram
- Downloading content for personal offline viewing
- Educational, research, or commentary purposes with proper attribution
- News reporting where permitted under applicable fair use doctrine
- Sharing with credit given to the original creator
✕ Not Permitted
- Redistributing downloaded content for commercial purposes without permission from the rights holder

- Using downloaded content to harass, defame, or harm any individual or group
- Automated or bulk downloading of content at scale

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without any representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, DownReels disclaims all warranties including:
- Implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose
- Warranties that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free

DownReels fetches content from Instagram, a platform owned and operated by Meta Platforms, Inc. Our website may contain links to external websites not operated by us. We have no control over and accept no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party site or service. We strongly encourage you to review the terms of any third-party service you access through DownReels.
Instagram’s Terms of Use prohibit certain forms of automated access. DownReels is a manual-use tool and is not responsible for any action Instagram or Meta may take regarding your account. Use the Service responsibly.
